A laugh riot
anoopktm12 May 2005
I have seen this movie after 20 years of its release. I should admit that this is a good time-pass stuff. One of the funniest movies Priyadarsan ever made. There might have inspirations from various sources but this one surely makes you laugh. It is great fun to see Mohanlal and Mukesh in their young age. Sukumari proves that she's fit and flexible for any roles. Though among the heroines, only Lisy stands out. You can rent it if you could get it. Anyway, I'm not saying its a comedy classic, neither it has perfection in direction, story, screenplay but can simply say wit at its best. I give a 7 out of 10. Now get ready for the laugh riot...hi hi hi

A good laugh riot, but a copy

A good script from the pens of the unmatchable Srinivasan, well filmed by Priyadarshan. The roles are very well enacted by Mohanlal and Mukesh, supported by the incomparable Sukumari. This movie has since been remade in to the Bollywood hit "Garam Masala", in which Paresh Rawal takes on Sukumari's character, Akshay Kumar takes on Mohanlal's and John Abraham takes on Mukesh's.

The movie itself is a remake from the 1965 Hollywood movie by the same name, featuring Tony Curtis and Jerry Lewis. At about the same time the malayalam movie was released in 1985, Boeing Boeing also got released in Norwegia in their native language.

Ripoff from the 1965 Hollywood Classic. The fat pig and the slimy frog in Tony Curtis and Jerry Lewis roles respectively.
