Storyline

Soviet TV adaptation of the eponymous novel by Robert Penn Warren. Life and career of a fictitious Governor Willie Stark, played by Georgi Zhzhyonov, is a loose portrayal of Governor Hue Long of Louisiana, who was in fact murdered by the gun shot in 1935.
