Babes in the Woods stars Hollie Hummel as Jasmine, a cheerleader who is looking for her "Dream Guy". She and 3 other cheerleaders meet up with a guy named Alex (Michael Taylor) on the way to a cheerleading competition and he may be the guy she has been looking for. (She daydreams about him a lot during the film). Their van breaks down on the way to the competition which forces them to walk for help which is where the adventure begins. Each of the girls fits a stereotype. Jasmine is the no nonsense leader looking for love. Sondra is the possible lesbian who is the hardest of the 4. Colleen is the girls who sleeps with everyone at school and Melanie is the shy withdrawn one. This is a very poorly acted film.It also is not well written or thought out. It did not make since that they would be road-tripping to a competition with only 4 woman. It is miscast in that none of the 4 women looks like high school or college age women. There is a lot of nudity in the film, but that still does not save it from being just a bad low budget film. This film has the feel of a 70's low budget movie. The film uses Jasmine's narration to move scenes on. I also thought it was poorly written in that they were in a rush to get to this competition, but once their van broke down, they walk around and strip to their underwear to sleep under trees and walk around in bra and panties then camp out? In closing, this is a film to be avoided. The "twists" do not work. The film is being sold/rented as some sort of thriller. Is is more an erotic drama similar to what one saw on Cinemax during the 80's
