Who's the Bigger Villain on 'The Amazing Race' Season 29?

19 April 2017 4:30 AM, PDT | buddytv.com | See recent BuddyTV news »

The Amazing Race isn't a reality show viewers typically associate with having a villain. The biggest obstacle for the various teams in their journey across the globe is more the world itself or the challenges created by the show. There have been unlikable teams during The Amazing Race, like Big Brother transplants Brendon and Rachel or season 27's Justin and Diana. It's rare that there are contestants who are worth actively rooting against. Sadly, in season 29 there are two (or three) contestants who are fighting harder for the most villainous spot on the show than the million dollar prize.

SXSW 2017 Interview: Director Joe Martin & Star Jack Roth on the Socio-Political and Economic Focus of Us And Them

17 March 2017 4:58 PM, PDT | DailyDead | See recent DailyDead news »

For his feature film debut, UK director Joe Martin brazenly takes on the class divide of Britain in Us and Them, his crime thriller that follows a frustrated young man named Danny, played by Jack Roth, who takes out his anger on the wealthy and elite members of society by kidnapping a well-to-do family, which doesn’t go exactly as he planned.

While at the 2017 SXSW Film Festival, Daily Dead took a deep dive into the political and economical focus of Us and Them with both Martin and Roth, resulting in a fascinating discussion on the problems that have caused a great division both in the UK and the world at large.

Fantastic job on the film, guys. It has a lot to say and you put a lot of energy into some really serious issues we can all relate to.

Film Review: ‘A Good American’

1 February 2017 8:52 PM, PST | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

The issue of national security – and the various means by which the government achieves it – has been at the forefront of President Donald Trump’s early days in the Oval Office, replete with an impending executive order on cyber-security safeguards. Thus, “A Good American” arrives at a fortuitously timed moment, given that it profiles a former Nsa official who created a system that supposedly would have prevented the 9/11 attacks, were it not for his superiors’ actions. The title, “A Good American,” exposes Moser’s bias, in that he’s completely convinced of the claims made (and noble intentions of) his subject, »
