An unemployed youth (Kamal) dreams of living well. One evening, he finds a drunken industrialist (Sameer Khakkar) passed out in a gutter, and takes the opportunity to switch places with him. An educated unemployed young graduate male (Kamal Hassan) comes across a drunken male (Sameer Khakkar) with a lot of cash in a briefcase. Tired of living a simple and poof life, the young male, takes over the identity of the drunk, and decides to live life to the fullest. He finds out that the drunk is living in a posh hotel, and moves in without any problems. Once he settles in the hotel room, he finds that the hotel has employed a magician (K.S. Ramesh), who daughter (Amala) is very attractive. He befriends the daughter, and treats her to her heart's content. One day while watching TV in the hotel room, he finds that someone (Tinnu Anand) had unauthorizedly entered his hotel room to kill him. Horrified he must now make a decision whether to continue living the easy life and die at the hands of man he does not even know; Or go back to his simple and poor lifestyle.
