• Continuity: When discussing the merits of opening Andie's purse, the handles go from both being up to one being down.
  
  
• Continuity: Andie's bag is placed under the light on Ben's desk and the light disappears in the close-up.
  
  
• Continuity: When Andie's bag is on Ben's desk, it alternates between two handles up and one handle up between shots.
  
  

• Continuity: Several times during the movie, especially in the first time she goes to Ben's apartment, Andie is wearing matching rings, which then disappear during the scene.

When she's walking toward the camera, she waves with her right arm while holding the plant with her left. When the shot changes and she's walking away from the camera, she's waving with her left arm.
  
  
• Continuity: When Ben is teaching Andie to ride his motorcycle, in the long shots the boardwalk is completely deserted but up close there are many people seen sitting on the benches and walking in the background.

• Continuity: When Andie arrives at the DeLauer party, she is wearing no earrings. Later, after Andie and Ben leave the ballroom, she is wearing the necklace and earrings. The security only asks for the necklace, and she takes the earrings.
  
  
• Continuity: In the revolving door at the beginning, the woman's purse jumps from being held between two fingers and her coffee cup, to an impossible position in the crook of her elbow

• Errors made by characters (possibly deliberate errors by the filmmakers): When the character Andie Anderson says, "I mean this is Defcon 5, and I have to do something truly appalling," she really means she is at Defcon 1 or 2. Defcon 5 is the lowest level of defense readiness. Defcon 1 is the highest.
  
  
• Revealing mistakes: One of the headlines on the first magazine's cover (during the intro-montage) states 'How To Loose Your Stomach' instead of the correct 'Lose'.
  
  
• Continuity: When Ben buys Andy the coke with no ice, he takes the soda with no lid. Once he gets back to Andy the soda has a lid and straw.
  
  
• Continuity: When Andi is leaving in the taxi the shots vary from the taxi's window being closed to opened some to closed again so Ben can knock on it.
  
  
• Incorrectly regarded as goofs: When Andie goes over to Ben's house for dinner and finds he made lamb she uses the excuse that she doesn't eat meat to ruin the dinner and then takes him to a vegan restaurant. However, on the first night they met they went for dinner and had lobster. This is actually very common, as many people follow a "pescetarian" diet, that is, eating only fish or seafood and not meat, especially red meat such as lamb. Andie could very easily claim to eat only seafood, and therefore act repulsed by the lamb.
