Watch: Colin Farrell talks about being a more 'human-sized' lead for 'Total Recall'

1 August 2012 9:05 PM, PDT | Hitfix | See recent Hitfix news »

I think it's specifically appropriate to say that Colin Farrell is one lucky cat.  After all, if anyone in Hollywood has nine lives, it's Farrell.   He was an overnight sensation when he starred in "Tigerland," Hollywood's hot new flavor of the month.  Never mind that he'd been working for four years beforehand, including the show "Ballykissangel."  "Tigerland" was the moment international audiences first noticed him, and almost immediately, he was everywhere.  His first big commercial run included roles in "Hart's War," "Minority Report," "Phone Booth," and "Daredevil," and he failed as many times as he succeeded, enough so that when »

'Die Hard 5' Gains Cole Hauser As Villain

9 May 2012 9:08 AM, PDT | MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news »

Bruce Willis is busy working on "A Good Day To Die Hard," and Cole Hauser is here to make it even... gooder.

Deadline reports that Hauser has joined the cast in a "pivotal supporting role," a villainous one at that. It's unclear whether that means there will be another Big Bad in the film or that Hauser is just playing second fiddle to Willis and his onscreen son Jai Courtney, but either way it should be a nice match up.

Willis has worked with Hauser before in both "Tears of the Sun" and "Hart's War," so hopefully their onscreen chemistry will carry over to this movie as well. Since much of "A Good Day To Die Hard" will be taking place in unfamiliar territory (Russia), it will be nice to have a familiar enemy.

When MTV News recently caught up with Fox CEO Tom Rothman, he promised that this new »

Cole Hauser Lands Other Villainous Role in 'A Good Day to Die Hard'

9 May 2012 7:41 AM, PDT | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

Last month, a couple of international actors joined the cast of the currently filming sequel A Good Day to Die Hard with Bruce Willis reprising his role as John McClane for a fifth time. This time the action goes overseas with McClane trying to save his son (played by Jai Courtney), who is every bit as hardcore as his father somewhere in Russia where "nothing is what it seems." The Lives of Others star Sebastian Koch and up and coming Russian actress Yulia Snigir already have a couple of villain roles, but now Deadline reports Cole Hauser has been lined up as another pivotal bad guy named Collins. But that's really all we know. Hauser is definitely an underrated character actor with roles in films like School Ties and Good Will Hunting, not to mention two films with Bruce Willis under his belt: Hart's War and Tears of the Sun. »

New villain added to Die Hard 5

8 May 2012 10:56 PM, PDT | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

John McClane has someone else to do battle with, as more casting news for A Good Day To Die Hard arrives...

As we reported yesterday, shooting has begun on the fifth Die Hard movie, A Good Day To Die Hard, with Max Payne director John Moore calling the shots.

Just because filming has started, though, it doesn't mean that there isn't time for a bit of new casting news. And Deadline this morning reports that Cole Hauser is the latest addition to the film's call sheet.

His part in the film is described as "a pivotal supporting role", and he's set to play a villain in the movie, by the name of Collins. That's all we know about his part thus far, though. By "pivotal supporting role", though, we wonder if it's something along the lines of Maggie Q's relatively brief part in Die Hard 4?

Cole Hauser Joins Die Hard 5

8 May 2012 5:01 PM, PDT | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

Following in the dastardly footsteps of Alan Rickman, William Sadler, Jeremy Irons and Timothy Olyphant, Cole Hauser has just joined the cast of A Good Day To Die Hard, in a villainous capacity.Deadline reports that his character will be called Collins, although there are no other details so far. Collins Gruber? Unlikely, we're saying. And we should perhaps be cautious, since he's being described as a villain, and not explicitly the villain, so he may turn out to be a henchman yet. Sebastian Koch and Yuliya Snigir were also announced last month as antagonists. Who's working for whom? This will be the third time Hauser has worked with Bruce Willis, since he's also in Antoine Fuqua's Tears Of The Sun, and Gregory Hoblit's Hart's War. This time out, the pair are being directed by John Moore (Max Payne), and A Good Day To Die Hard involves John »

A Good Day To Die Hard Adds Cole Hauser In Supporting, Villainous Role

8 May 2012 2:26 PM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

The biggest non-Bruce-Willis role in A Good Day To Die Hard has been cast, with Jai Courtney signing on to play John McClane's son Jack, and immediately after both father and son posing for a family portrait that seems distinctly McClane-esque. That was back in February, and though we've heard since then that the film had added two villains, word has been mighty quiet- strange for a production that had been set for April. Now Deadline is reporting another tiny bit of casting that suggests some forward motion-- Cole Hauser, the character actor with roles in everything from 2 Fast 2 Furious to Good WIll Hunting to Dazed and Confused, has signed on in the supporting role of Collins, a villain who presumably will work in cahoots with the the previously cast bad guys. Hauser has been in two other Willis films, Tears of the Sun and Hart's War, though it's unclear »

Cole Hauser Joins A Good Day to Die Hard

8 May 2012 | Comingsoon.net | See recent Comingsoon.net news »

20th Century Fox's 2013 sequel, A Good Day to Die Hard , has lined up another actor in Cole Hauser, Deadline reports. He'll play a villain by the name of Collins. A Good Day to Die Hard puts Bruce Willis' John McClane on an international stage -- truly a NYC fish out of water in Moscow -- and introduces his estranged son Jack (Jai Courtney). An apple that has not fallen far from the tree, Jack may even be more of a hardass than his father. Despite their differences, they must work together to keep each other alive . and the world safe for democracy. Hauser, who has previously acted alongside Willis in Hart's War and Tears of the Sun , also joins Sebastian Koch and Yulia Snigir in the February 14th, 2013 release. (Photo Credit: Adriana M.
