Sex & Nudity

  • some mild sexual jokes/dialogue
  • a main theme of the movie is that Ira wants to get with the CDC scientist and jokes that surround the notion because she picks on him she wants to have sex with him.
  • Ira moons his old army boss (he sticks his butt out a car window)

Violence & Gore

  • Several alien creatures get shot (no blood). Some other creatures die of asphyxia.
  • An alien mosquito enters a man's body and we see it crawling underneath his skin. Some doctors discuss the possibility of amputating his leg. The whole scene may be a bit disturbing but it's supposed to be funny.
  • A man approaches a lake and a creature drags him inside the water. Later we learn that he was eaten by it.
  • In one scene, a doglike creature pretends to be cute and innocent, but when a middle-aged lady reaches out to stroke the creature, it quickly opens its mouth, and its tongue turns out to be a huge beak, bites a finger off the lady. Blood is seen but it's very quick.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • some of the military men smoke cigars
  • there is one scene at a party, and it is implied that one man is trying to get another woman drunk so shell have sex with him (this is never said outright we just assume this)

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • There are various creatures featured in the film which some children may find scary.
  • The scene where Ira and his two friends run through the mall with shotguns looking for the alien bird may upset some people. A girl is dragged around the mall by a creature.
  • In one scene, a doglike creature pretends to be cute and innocent, but when a middle-aged lady reaches out to stroke the creature, it quickly opens its mouth, and its tongue turns out to be a huge beak, bites a finger off the lady.
