Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice Infographic Gives Everything You Need To Know

9 March 2016 10:49 AM, PST | AreYouScreening.com | See recent AreYouScreening news »

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is just around the corner, and while the trailers and promos have finally revealed a fair amount of information, the whole concept of the film is somewhat elusive to those who aren’t (and aren’t interested in being) familiar with the comic world specific to this particular plotline.

Plus, there’s a little going on in this one, and why not have a handy cheat-sheet when it comes to putting everything in its place?

Worse, the whole thing seems to put Batman in a ridiculous position. Sure, Superman has managed to get himself into trouble worthy enough to keep a comic interesting for as long as he’s been around, but the old, “Hey, I found some Kryptonite,” gag gets old rather quick.

Besides, much as we can clearly get the general idea behind all the, “absolute power,” soundbites from the trailers… what’s Batman’s beef anyway? »

'Batman v Superman' Deleted Scene Sends Jimmy Kimmel to the Rescue?

29 February 2016 10:50 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last night after The Academy Awards, Jimmy Kimmel Live! held his annual post-Oscars special on ABC, which featured a number of stars including Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice's Ben Affleck. During his interview segment with Jimmy Kimmel, the star revealed that a Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice scene he shot with the talk show host had to be cut for time, but, thankfully, he brought this clip for everyone to see. Unfortunately, this scene won't be featured when Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25, but it certainly is entertaining.

Of course, this isn't an actual scene from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but it's a parody of one scene we've seen in the previously released trailers, with Henry Cavill's Clark Kent meeting Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne for the first time. Jimmy Kimmel plays himself. Things take a hilarious turn »

First 'Batman v Superman' Featurette Arrives

29 February 2016 7:12 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

'Today is a day for truth!' Today is also a day for a brand new Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice sneak peek. Director Zack Snyder is on hand to show off new footage and talk about the story behind his superhero epic. This featurette mainly focuses on Turkish Airlines, and what it means to the production. The filmmaker first describes the tone of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and how it ties into 2013 blockbuster Man of Steel.

"With Batman V Superman, I wanted to continue this tone established in Man of Steel, but I really wanted to recapture some of the quality of the movies I loved, that inspired me. We spent a lot of time and were very careful about where we would go for the next journey into the DC universe. We knew we had established a Clark Kent/Superman character in a world that we could build out. »

Watch Superman Beat on Batman in New 'Batman v Superman' Clip

29 February 2016 2:59 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

After the 2016 Oscars went down, Jimmy Kimmel Live! had Ben Affleck on the show and he brought an all-new clip from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice with him. In the clip, Batman seems to have gotten the wind knocked out of him, while Superman warns him to "stay down." Of course, Batman doesn't give up easily, and was right back on his feet delivering some sort of smokescreen that we can only think has some chemical in it that renders Superman's powers useless.

In the film, Gotham City's own formidable, forceful vigilante, fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, takes on Metropolis's most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it's ever known before.

"You might hear me in it if you listen carefully."

While she wouldn't reveal what role she has in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, this will be the third time she has worked with director Zack Snyder. She previously starred as Silk Spectre in the filmmaker's 2009 superhero adaptation Watchmen and in his 2011 follow-up Sucker Punch. Gotham and Metropolis Revealed in 'Batman v Superman' Turkish Airlines Super Bowl Ads

7 February 2016 1:40 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last week, a new report surfaced that revealed what studios were planning on airing new movie footage during Super Bowl 50. That report claimed that Warner Bros. would be sitting out today's big game, which surprised some fans, especially since their highly-anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice hits theaters on March 25. However, that report did tease that, while there may not be a new trailer during the big game, there may be an ad featuring Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice characters from one of the movie's promotional partners. During today's pre-game coverage, Turkish Airlines unveiled two new ads, announcing that the airline now offers "service" to both Gotham and Metropolis.

One ad features Ben Affleck's Bruce Wayne representing Gotham, who is rebuilding his city through a substantial grant from his foundation, with Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor representing Metropolis, which is being rebuilt thanks to Lex's generous donations. »

Listen to Junkie Xl's 'Dawn of Justice' Batman Theme

5 February 2016 11:51 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Way back in November 2014, it was revealed that composer Hans Zimmer is teaming with Junkie Xl (a.k.a. Tom Holkenberg) to work on the score for Warner Bros.' Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Hans Zimmer will craft the theme for Superman (Henry Cavill), like he did in 2013's Man of Steel, with Junkie Xl working on a new Batman (Ben Affleck) theme. Earlier today, Water Tower Music released the Batman theme, entitled "Men Are Still Good (The Batman Suite), which you can listen to below.

Before taking on the job, Hans Zimmer admitted in September 2013 that he was unsure about taking on this job, because he didn't want to create new Batman music after working on Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight trilogy. Junkie Xl, a.k.a. Tom Holkenborg, most recently composed scores for Mad Max: Fury Road, Black Mass and Point Break, along with the upcoming Deadpool. »

Japanese 'Batman v Superman' Trailer Has Doomsday on the Attack

2 February 2016 11:44 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Last week, box office analysts started tracking Warner Bros.' Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, with the early projections claiming that this highly-anticipated superhero adventure will take in approximately $154 million during its opening weekend in late March. While we still have to wait several weeks to see if those projections will hold up, Warner Entertainment Japan has released an international trailer, which doesn't include any new footage but offers a brief refresher course on this blockbuster-to-be, in case it's been awhile since you've seen the previous trailers. It isn't known if the studio plans on releasing any new footage between now and the March 25 release date.

'Batman v Superman' and 'Suicide Squad' Crush Marvel on Social Media

Move aside, Marvel! It looks like there's a new player on the scene, and this town may not be big enough for the both of you! That's right, DC Comics' two new upcoming 2016 movies, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, are tracking 500% higher than other superhero competition on all digital and social media outlets. Climbing the Dar-Film leaderboard, these highly-anticipated comic book movies are overshadowing and out-pacing even the epic Captain America: Civil War and Doctor Strange.

2016 will see plenty of other comic book movies debut as well, including heavyweights Deadpool and X-Men: Apocalypse from 20th Century Fox. But early digital tracking places DC Comics at the forefront of this intense race, which is based on their standing at the same point pre-release. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is currently the #1 movie in volume and awareness. Number 2 is Suicide Squad. And standing at Number 3 is, »
