This is a TV movie by DiC for Nickelodean put on DVD by MGM.
It does star animals, and does have singing, but it's not too bad.
They went with a very interesting style of artwork for the movie that elevates the story.
There is an animal research lab that is being closed down, and the animals will be "Taken Care Of", so three of the animals escape and travel around the world trying to escape the hunter.
This strays widely from the original Jules Verne story, 'Around the World in 80 Days' that it is based on, but by the end you can see the story elements they did use.
So there was a lot that made cringe, but I was pretty happy with after it was over.
