The mortuary that Arlene and Sheriff Andy go to arrange a funeral at is called "Jenkins and Sons". Richard Jenkins was the actor who played father of Nate (Peter Krause) and David ( Michael C. The mortuary is a sly reference to Six Feet Under and even modeled the funeral arrangement room with a casket wall after the very similar set used at the "Fisher and Sons" funeral home on "Six Feet Under."
