This run of the mill silent comedy is set, wait for it, in a General Store. The main hook is a delivery to Bobby of what appears to be some sort of mail order detective kit, with a badge, hats, and false beards. The store owner's daughter, her boyfriend, an escaped convict, the posse, and mistaken identities are used to string together a series of slapstick gags and chases. He gets the girl, the reward for capturing the convict, and all ends well. This is my first exposure to Bobby Dunn, so I can't say if this is typical of his work. Amusing as a period piece--but you won't fall out of your chair laughing.
