One of , if not the best non-fiction crime show
12 August 2011 | by (United States) – See all my reviews

Like Cold Case Files, another great show, this show keeps the viewer immersed the full half hour. A great show for anyone who is a crime buff and is interested in seeing how new age police work solves crimes, especially some of the most cold blooded murders, and the people who commit them. The way the crimes are solved with new technology that is still getting better as time goes on, would make any potential criminal want to rethink before committing a crime. After watching so many of these cold cases get solved, even after many years even decades, eventually the criminals always get caught. It seems it is almost impossible to get away with murder anymore in this day and age. The real life stories are sometimes sad especially with seeing family members who appear on Forensic Files to talk about the loss of their loved ones. It is not only an interesting show about horrific crimes, it has a bit of an emotional aspect to it that other shows don't have. When the suspect is finally brought to justice, it gives you a sigh of relief knowing another evil scumbag is put away or put to death.

Peter Thomas' distinct voice while he narrates adds to the show's chilling effect. This show deserves more airtime, rather than only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. I was disappointed when other less entertaining shows like Bait Car took this show's time slot during the week nights. I also recommend Cold Case Files which is similar to this show and is now on Lifetime.
