Actor Gary Dourdan's personal woes are mounting - he's facing foreclosure on his Venice, California home after failing to keep up repayments, according to a U.S. report.

The former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star, who was threatened with jail earlier this month after allegedly breaking the terms of a restraining order filed against him by his ex-girlfriend, is alleged to have missed a payment of his mortgage in July.

Hairy Role in CSI for Roger Bart

Hairy Role in CSI for Roger Bart

You know him from Desperate Housewives and The Event, but now actor Roger Bart is headed to the set of CSI. Catch this. Things will probably get hairy.

For the long-running CBS crime drama Bart will settle into the shoes of a wig maker. I sense there will be a bit of dramatic flair in this role. Bart’s wigs are specifically for cancer patients and according to EW, the site that broke the news, the gentleman has a very high regard for his own talent. His guest-starring role will air this coming February.

The actor may have been well-chosen for the role of a wig maker. He has quite a nice head of hair. Bart has multiple Broadway credits to his name. His films include American Gangster, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, and Law Abiding Citizen. On Wisteria Lane he is George Williams, »

Helgenberger Fights Back Tears As She Talks About CSI Exit

8 December 2011 12:11 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actress Marg Helgenberger fought back tears during a TV interview in America this week (beg05Dec11) as she talked about leaving hit crime show CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The star, who has spent the past decade playing forensics expert Catherine Willows in the drama series, is shooting her final scenes for the show, and will walk away early next year - and she admits she is getting emotional as she prepares to leave.

In an interview with news show Entertainment Tonight, which aired on Wednesday, she said, "I think, 'How can I leave this? How can I leave such a wonderful (job)...' I don't even think of it as a job. It's people that I've been with for 12 years. It's been a fifth of my life."

Wiping away tears, she added, "It's been quite a ride... I'm sorry. I didn't mean to get so emotional... I've been really lucky."

Helgenberger has appeared in over 260 episodes of CSI and was among the original cast members when the series debuted in 2000.

The actress will be replaced on the show by Elisabeth Shue. »

'CSI' Creator Anthony Zuiker Shares Personal Story

6 December 2011 12:06 PM, PST | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

Anthony E. Zuiker is constantly asked, "How did the guy who drove a tram in the middle of the night at The Mirage go onto create 'CSI: Crime Scene Investigation'?" It's a legitimate question, so Zuiker decided to answer it in his new book, "Mr. CSI: How A Vegas Dreamer Made A Killing In Hollywood, One Body At A Time."

Originally conceived as a self-help book, "Mr. CSI" soon morphed into Zuiker's personal tale of growing up as an only child abandoned by his father, and raised by his mother in Las Vegas. The book tells a story of a man, who through hard work and perseverance, became one of the most successful and celebrated creators and producers on television.

How did you come up with the idea for "CSI"?

I was watching a forensic docudrama called "The New Detectives," and in one episode they were featuring a case about a missing cheerleader. »

CSI Newcomer Elisabeth Shue Spills on Joining the Show

Elisabeth Shue is ready to get to work. As you may have heard, the Leaving Las Vegas Oscar nominee is succeeding Marg Helgenberger later this season on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Shue tells me she's been pitched—and turned down—many television projects in the past, but... The chance to analyze corpses and bullet casings came along at the perfect time. "For many years, I decided not to do television because I have three children, but now my youngest is finally old enough to be in kindergarten," Shue exclusively told me this week at the Children's Defense Fund-California's Beat the Odds Awards at the Beverly Hills Hotel. Dourdan Blasted By Judge Over Restraining Order Rules

1 December 2011 5:36 PM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Actor Gary Dourdan has been chastised by a judge and threatened with jail after allegedly breaking the terms of a restraining order filed against him by his ex-girlfriend.

The former CSI: Crime Scene Investigation star was arrested on suspicion of felony battery last month after police were called to investigate a disturbance at a property in Venice, California.

Cops reportedly found Dourdan's former partner Nicole Vail Cannizzaro nursing a broken nose and issued her with an emergency protective order, temporarily banning the actor from contacting her.

But Dourdan reportedly violated the order by sending Cannizzaro text messages - and he was blasted for doing so during a court hearing on Thursday.

Judge Keith Schwartz hit out at the actor for failing to obey the law, telling him, "I don't mess around with domestic violence cases... You understand?"

He then demanded the embattled star refrain from contacting Cannizzaro for three years - or risk jail, reports TMZ.com.

Dourdan insists he is not guilty of the domestic violence charge. »

Liev Schreiber to star in Showtime pilot 'Ray Donovan'

29 November 2011 12:03 PM, PST | Zap2It - From Inside the Box | See recent Zap2It - From Inside the Box news »

Yes! We want more Liev Schreiber and we're about to get some! Schreiber is set to star in the Showtime pilot "Ray Donovan."

According to THR, the pilot gives us a look at modern day Los Angeles with Schreiber playing the title character, a professional "fixer" for the rich and famous in Hollywood. Ray Donovan makes the problems of the shining stars of screens both big and small go away like they never happened. His personal life, however, is just as messed up as his clients' are.

"Ray Donovan" is one of three pilots greenlit by Showtime this year. Schreiber is making his small screen debut here ... at least as a lead character. He previously had a small arc on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. Production will begin on "Ray Donovan" at the beginning of next year. We can't wait to watch! »

Teaser For J.J. Abrams’ New Mystery Show Alcatraz

28 November 2011 7:23 PM, PST | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

We just confirmed that we will be adding the new J.J. Abrams supernaturally infused drama series Alcatraz to the fast growing list of shows we are reviewing on the site. Like Lost, Alcatraz is set on an island and features actor Jorge Garcia, but that’s about where the similarities end – or at least as far as we know. It’s typical of Abrams to be holding back the mystery of the series, but for now they have released a brief teaser. Word from Comic-Con claims the series is quite good, at least based on the lucky few who had a chance to watch the pilot. Here is the teaser, and below it, you can read a very lengthy plot synopsis.

Official Plot Synopsis:

From executive producer J.J. Abrams (Fringe, “Lost,” “Star Trek” and the upcoming “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and “Super 8″) and writer and executive producer Elizabeth Sarnoff (“Lost, »

Superhero Bits: The Dark Knight Rises, Justice League, The Avengers, Star Wars, Lego

28 November 2011 11:30 AM, PST | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

In what movie can you see Leslie Bibb as Wonder Woman, Jason Sudeikis as Batman, Bobby Cannavale as Superman, John Hodgman as Penguin, Uma Thurman as Lois Lane and Kristen Bell as Supergirl? How does Christopher Nolan describe Bane in The Dark Knight Rises? What happens when you combine Batman: The Animated Series and Star Wars? Which other heroes are showing up in the new Batman Lego video game? And will Kenneth Branagh return to Marvel? Read about all of this and more in today's Superhero Bits. The Hollywood Reporter [1] ran a few more quotes from the recent Empire [2] article on The Dark Knight Rises. There's one about Tom Hardy being "intimidated" by Batman but this one, Christopher Nolan talking about Bane, is more telling: He’s a great sort of movie monster but with an incredible brain, and that was a side of him that hadn’t been tapped before. »

CSI Tries on New Shue

CSI Tries on New Shue

Elisabeth Shue is heading to Las Vegas, but she’s not going to have a lot of time to hit the slots because she’s going to be solving crimes with the rest of the team on CBS’s CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The networks have been trying for years to lure Shue into a regular gig on the small screen, with CBS being “particularly aggressive” in their pursuit of the Oscar nominee. The chase has finally paid off, with Criminal Complex  reporting that Shue will become the new female lead on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation on February 15, replacing Marg Helgenberger’s Catherine Willows.

The set-up for the transition is already in motion, with Willows recently being offered a new gig by the sheriff. Considering that the CSI veteran recently lost her supervisor position to newcomer D.B. Russell (Ted Danson), it stands to reason that »

20 November 2011 6:21 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Leaving Las Vegas star Elisabeth Shue is heading back to Sin City as the latest addition to Las Vegas-based crime drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.

The actress, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in the 1995 movie, is joining the cast of the hit TV show and will make her first appearance in the series in February.

Shue comes into the show as longtime star Marg Helgenberger is preparing to leave after playing Catherine Willows for 11 seasons.

Executive producer Carol Mendelsohn says, "While it's difficult to say goodbye to a beloved character like Catherine Willows, it's exciting to start a journey with a new CSI, especially when that character is played by Elisabeth Shue." »
