User Reviews

a pretty nasty flick if your into that sort of thing.
30 May 2002 | by (manchester, england) – See all my reviews

this is a disturbing and rather depressing portrayal of wife batterring complete with some fairly graphic scenes involving the two leads. the movie does have a peculiar opening in which a shrink talks on camera about the traits and patterns of a wife batterrer for those who may be interested in taking it up. we can tell he's a shrink because he's wearing glasses and a suit. after that informal, pleasant introduction though it's pretty much gratuitous violence that doesn't leave much to the imagination i.e. shovels jabbed into bunnys and one bloke getting a well deserved number of kicks in the groin from some black bird sticking up for his mrs! a nice gesture towards the feminists there i thought. gloria steinem eat your heart out. perhaps the film would work better as a documentary on this subject as i can't understand the entertainment factor unless of course your a masochist.
