A relatively decent low budget action movie made well enough to be entertaining.
First off I would just like to say this isn't a film that revolves around the production of an independent film. there was no director who was dealing with drunk actors or a DEA agent who sold prosthetic arms and this is not a horror movie and it is not really gory so I don't know what film the previous three reviewers before me saw or what they were smoking while watching it and if you want to know what I'm talking about just read the other three reviews.
BAD GUYS is actually a halfway decent movie about two DEA agents who arrive in a small town to help the local law enforcement deal with a maniac who is waging an all out war against anybody who threatens to stop his drug operation.
The films plot is okay and sometimes has a few very weird moments but it also has a few very funny moments. The two leads played by Bryan Genesse and Micheal Madsen are very likable as well as a few other characters. The main villain played by James Russo is probably one of the strangest characters I've ever seen in a film and he certainly puts the exclamation mark on the word psycho. The action might not be the best you've ever seen but it is done well enough to keep you entertained and given that Bryan Genesse also wrote and directed as well as starred in the film did a good job with what he had.
Overall, it is no way the kind of film the previous three reviewers described, its a decent low budget action movie that is done well enough to keep you entertained.
