Storyline
Plot Summary |
In a small village near the Great Wall, against the backdrop of the Second Sino-Japanese War, the ordinary lives of its inhabitants are about to change drastically when two prisoners are dumped into the house of the unsuspecting peasant, Ma Dasan. But, as if that weren't enough, while entrusted with keeping a belligerent Japanese sergeant and a servile Chinese interpreter until the eve of the Chinese New Year, Ma Dasan and the rest of the community will find themselves trapped in a dangerous cul-de-sac. And, as the weeks turn into months, the villagers will have to make a terrible decision. Is anyone safe when there are devils on the doorstep? Written by Nick Riganas |
