Did You Know?

After a few years of playing adult roles, this was the first of three high school roles in a row for Piper Perabo. She was cast as a teenager, although she was already in her mid-20's at the time. She'd already been a bartender in Coyote Ugly (2000) and a government agent in The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle (2000), amongst other roles. See more »

Paulie: Hey, new girl, what do you think of Vaughnie?
Tori: [giggling] Don't call her "new girl," it's so rude!
Mouse: Miss Vaughn? She's nice.
[Paulie chuckles]
Tori: Some of the girls say rude things about her.
Paulie: She and Bannet, they got it goin' on for sure.
Tori: Paulie, give it a rest. She's just a single lady, and they're very good friends, and that's it. Don't be so mean... or homophobic.
Mouse: She seemed nice to me.
[Paulie and Tori stare at her]
Mouse: I mean, um, normal. Well, not...

A unique, emotive film
16 June 2005 | by (West Yorkshire) – See all my reviews

This film puts a unique slant on an old subject matter. The underlying tones and themes are impressive and emotive. Instantly, you are sucked into the lives of the 3 main cast members, bonding with each of them quickly. They are all individual, yet extremely similar at the same time. The lesson they have to teach you is one that shoots straight into you, and you just cannot look away or deny it. Everything the movie has to offer is exceptional, the writing, the directing and most certainly the acting. Piper Perabo especially. She holds you in the palm of her hand, taking you through highs, lows, love and pain. Don't get this film confused with some 'lesbian chick flick'. The characters and situations are real, potent and memorable.
