Porsche had made a deal with Electronic Arts to feature their products exclusively in their game "Need for Speed: Porsche Unleashed". This deal made it impossible for Porsches to be featured in "Gran Turismo 2" so Rufs (most of which are based on Porsche 911s) are featured instead.

Brilliant racing game!

This was the best racing game when it came out unsurprisingly and it has a combination of great graphics and gameplay. Someone mentioned pop ups, did they make the game less fun? No! Could there have anything with the power they had(32 bit) that could have stopped this? No! It's no big deal. No playstation 1 racing game can come close to GT2. There are lots of cars. This GT game has more cars than all the rest of them. The are cars ranging from Minis and Diahatsus to Sizukis and Mitshubishis. There are two modes GT and arcade. GT mode is better because you have to buy cars and earn money. This game is great, 10 out of 10 considering the technology.
