This is another movie that displays Shankar Nag's exceptional directional ability. He was probably one of the very few actors who struck a balance between commercial and art cinema. Without doubts, he excelled at both. The movie is very realistic, and has a measured pace throughout. The climax leaves you spellbound.
It is sad that Shankar met with an untimely death. He was at the pinnacle of his direction. He has left some memorable movies.
