A visit to many of the places and people that give California its reputation as a place of extremes. Among the major segments: Sky surfing in the San Diego area; the movies, including a trip down the Oscar ceremony red carpet, the shooting of a stagecoach ride, and some memories of Walt Disney, including a roller coaster ride in Disneyland; some snowboarding and skiing stunts; a trip to the top, and then deep inside, some giant sequoias; biologists working with otters and bald eagle hatchlings; and a trip to the top of the Golden Gate bridge with the ironworkers who maintain it. If you've seen a lot of IMAX films you know that the best ones have:
a.) Plenty of aerial footage
b.) Educational value
c.) Lots of beautiful scenery, and
d.) People risking their lives doing foolish stunts mostly just to entertain US.
Adventures in Wild California has plenty of all four.
California is a beautiful state with many varied topographies and AIWC showcases all of them. It's basically a forty-minute infomercial for California tourism, but that doesn't really matter because this movie is a cinematic thrill ride!
If you've never seen an IMAX film, go see this one and it will have you hooked on IMAX for life!
