Both of Tick's antennae were remote controlled, and were independently operated on set by a puppeteer.
The Tick: Pilot (2001) version of the Tick suit was a one piece foam latex bodysuit, with the cowl attached underneath the collar bone. All subsequent versions featured foam rubber Tick pants, with the cowl/torso extending to the cod piece, allowing Patrick Warburton to go to the bathroom, and simplifying his suit-up.
The studio did not have the rights to all characters from The Tick (1994), so cartoon characters Die Fledermaus and American Maid were changed to Batmanuel and Captain Liberty.
A new Tick suit was created for each episode, constantly improving on the quality and practicality.

Originally Tick and Arthur were supposed to always wear glasses that covered their eyes, as they did in the comic and The Tick (1994) cartoon series, but that was dropped when Patrick Warburton was cast, because of the way he was able to use his eyes.

Tick's shoes would constantly change from a sleek pair of sculpted Tick feet for close-ups, to thicker versions with sneaker bottoms, to huge blue platforms, to increase Patrick Warburton's apparent height.

Modifications were made to Captain Liberty's costume between The Tick: Pilot (2001) and the rest of the series, the most noticeable being her boots: in the pilot her boots go up to mid-thigh. They are replaced in the rest of the series by more practical knee-high boots.
