You take on the role of Fox McCloud, the leader of the Star Fox team. Star Fox is an elite group of fighter pilots that works as mercenaries for the Cornerian Army. Corneria is the home planet of the team, and also of Dr. Andross, a mad scientist who was responsible for the death of Fox's father five years after General Pepper, the leader of Corneria, exiled him (Andross) to the planet Venom, and the Star Fox team went to investigate the strange activity from the planet. Many years later, Andross arises as the emperor of Venom and the supreme ruler of an almost unstoppable military force and declares war on the entire Lylat System, starting with Corneria. General Pepper calls the team to action. The orders: protect the key planets of the Lylat System, infiltrate Venom, and stop Dr. Andross. Written by Flotis

User Reviews

A complete classic

Star Fox started out as a game for the SNES. After hearing a commercial for this and seeing the action I rented it and found it to be worthless. The control on the arwing was slow, the voicing was dorky, and the graphics looked as if it came out of a Namco space shooter game. Years later the N64 came along and made this excellent remake. The Voices of characters are outstanding, the gameplay and graphics are much better, and the action and storyline rules. It was also one of the first games that used the rumble pack. The only thing I thought needed improvement was the Multiplayer VS. games. Even though this game is easy to beat it's still fun because you can win metals to get other things in the game. 9 1/2 out of 10.
