Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

None.

Violence & Gore

Brief flashback of Harry's mother being murdered. A man in a cloak is seen using a spell on her, and she screams and falls down dead. He then turns on the baby Harry Potter, and the scene cuts off.

Children shoving, pushing each other.

There is a scene where a troll gets into a bathroom and tries to kill Hermione.

Harry kills the teacher and the teacher has Lord Voldemort at the back of his head and it hurts Harry because of his scar. He kills the teacher by touching him, the limbs head etc. fall off into ashes. Harry is knocked out and seen laying on the staircase with the stone.

Profanity

One use of "arse".

One brief use of "damn".

A couple of uses of "hell".

"Bugger" is said once.

Several uses of "bloody".

None.

Characters seeing and interacting with various menacing looking monsters, close calls with menacing characters, supernatural events and various locales that appear foreboding, dangerous or simply scary.

Theres a scene in the forbidden forest when Harry and Malfoy find Voldemort, he's drinking the blood of a unicorn. When Harry's scar starts hurting, Voldemort suddenly looks up and you briefly see part of his face snarl at them.

Another scene is at the mirror scene at the end. When Quirrel unravels his turban, Voldemort's very scary looking face suddenly appears. The very scary music amplifies it, not to mention his very chilling voice. Another scene that scared me as a kid was when LV's ghost appears and knocks Harry out. .
