I can't tell whether this news program is actually what it says on the tin or some Hollywood SFX loaded show! The difference between this and BBC1 News for example is that BBC actually produces factual information with appropriate footage. There is a constant obsession with ITV News to show darkened footages to show how terrible things are in the world!
If one notices acted body language of the presenters is to always stare at the camera in misery to show their "feelings" (e.g. Glum faces and not blinking) and the constant use of loaded and blown out of proportion words is disgraceful as I feel that this puts unnecessary images into the viewers mind that shouldn't be.
Annoying sound effects don't help either with loud bangs and trendy music at the start and end of reports doesn't help in paying attention.
It seems that their intention is not to portray unbiased, objective view on current affairs at times but a SURPRISE!!! and SHOCK!! intended purposes just like tabloid newspapers!
