  • Smoking is seen throughout the movie with multiple people shown smoking casually.
  • James chugs a beer briefly because he is nervous before an audition.
  • Alcohol consumption isn't all that present but smoking is seen throughout. Cigarettes and only one scene with a cigar. They aren't really addressed because it was normal for the frequent smoking.
  • Smoking is more for the time period with frequent use being normal for the time.
  • James actually gets drunk for one of his scenes in a movie.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Dean's mother is lightly implied to hit by her husband. It is not too apparent but the scene is more sad because his mother has been convinced by his father for her to receive psychiatric evaluation.
