Kung Pow: Enter the Fist is a movie within a movie, created to spoof the martial arts genre. Writer/director Steve Oedekerk uses contemporary characters and splices them into a 1970s kung-fu film, weaving the new and old together. As the main character, The Chosen One, Oedekerk sets off to avenge the deaths of his parents at the hands of kung-fu legend Master Pain. Along the way, he encounters some strange characters, one of which is a cow trained in the martial arts. Written by
After Master Betty kills everyone Chosen One cares about, he decides to invent a new stronger word than "bad" and "wrong," and comes up with the portmanteau "Badong," which happens to be a county in China (Badong Xiàn). See more »
When the infant Chosen One is rolling down a hill, his shoe falls off. In the next shot, he has both of them on again. Shortly thereafter, he loses the same shoe a second time (exact same footage), and then both of them reappear on his feet. Some other segments are shown 3 or 4 times. See more »

There's a good chance that when you saw the trailers and TV spots for this movie the first word that came to your mind was "stupid". Yes, this a stupid movie. It's one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen to be honest, but it is also one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. Up until I saw this movie earlier today, I hadn't seen one good movie in 2002 so I can say that this is the best move of 2002..so far. No jokes fall flat [except the gay henchman was sort of annoying at times], the action scenes are well done, and it's always a treat to see really bad movies get spoofed. ****
