Fleeting Falcon favorite Kristen Bjorn, whose all too rare display can be admired on their BIKER'S LIBERTY, struck gay gold when he moved to the other side of the camera, churning out one carnal classic after another, uncovering the ample attractions of some of the world's most stunningly handsome men. Following his Brazilian and Australian period, he set sail for Eastern Europe which was rapidly making its mark on the international porn market with its can't miss combination of gorgeous guys and low overhead costs. For what was to be his 23rd movie in about a decade, he cast mostly Czech and Hungarian hunks with a couple of Latinos and a lone American (Randy Foreman, a fellow Falcon face from John Rutherford's BASIC PLUMBING 2) thrown in for good measure. Whatever country he happens to be in at the time, Bjorn always seems to be assembling some sort of repertory company with performers generally turning up in two or more of his fabulous features, surely sparking avid fan adulation. Manning the cameras himself, the director turns each of his stars into a singular Greek god, a quality best appreciated on those rare occasions when a Bjorn performer turns up in someone else's handiwork and usually doesn't look anywhere near as edible. Another undeniable asset is the haunting and very non-porno type soundtrack by François Girard, yet another regular contributor of the filmmaker. Hey, why change a winning team, right ?
The premise is almost ridiculously simple yet surprisingly involving on an emotional level with a romantic pay-off that will pull the heart-strings of all but the most jaded of cynics. Fresh-faced Ferenc Botos (from THE ANCHOR HOTEL) fancies himself a bit of a voyeur, spying on his wealthy neighbors getting it on with all 'n' sundry. Like all discerning peeping toms, he has his favorites though, especially golden-haired Sandor Vesanyi, who went on to straight porn stardom as Mario Rossi, playing a substantial role in Chi Chi LaRue's ANOTHER WOMAN'S EYES and directing several hit gonzo series such as CHEATING WIVES TALES and I LOVE BIG TOYS. Plotwise, Sandor's been heart-broken since his lover Alexei Gromoff (from COMRADES IN ARMS) took off for greener pastures, leaving him to raunchy reminiscence of their erstwhile romance. Ferenc discovers Alexei nowadays prefers the carnal company of Spanish sluts Gabriel Garcia and THE AMAZON ADVENTURE's chiseled Adriano Sabroso in one of the flick's breathtaking highlights. Will our sad-eyed hero be able to overcome his "watch but don't touch" fixation and take Alexei's vacant place in Sandor's heart and bed ? No prizes for guessing...
As has become his trademark by now, the sex is typical Bjorn perfection, each tantalizing tableau a masterpiece of performance, pacing and choreography, achieving astonishing beauty and scalding heat in equal measure as a result. Contrary to his competitors, Bjorn takes several days to shoot each set-up which goes a long way to explain the seemingly superhuman ejaculatory abilities of his magnificent models, everyone gushing multiple times throughout their encounters, bringing the grand total to a whopping 63 cum shots, courtesy of an AVN reporter's counting capacity ! Aside from the aforementioned scene and the excellent Sandor/Alexei couplings, the downright hottest number must surely be the film's awesome opener with beefy Kalman Faludi (from GANGSTERS AT LARGE) luring Randy Foreman back to his place for some afternoon delight, only to be interrupted by his lover Sergei Jordonov (from THICK AS THIEVES) whose initial outrage soon melts into searing lust for Randy's ravishing rump. Alternating between balls to the wall action and corny yet captivating romantic stuff, homo hardcore just doesn't get any better than this.
