Entertaining panto!
24 December 2012 | by See all my reviews

I really enjoyed seeing this again on ITV2 this Christmas, full of fun and inspired casting- possibly not the best piece of TV ever but great fun- Sam Womak is fab as cinders, showing off her great singing voice, whilst Alexander Armstrong and Frank Skinner offer great support, plus with Paul Merton and Ronnie Corbett we get two dames for the price of one. Such a shame they don't make these anymore!

Harry hill makes a cameo as the MC but appears a little out of place- he makes a much better appearance in 2002's Dick Whittington.

Three more TV pantos were made between 1998 and 2002, the others being Jack And The Beanstalk (1998), Aladdin (2000) and Dick Whittington (2002). All are good value but I think this is the best (possibly for the lovely Miss Womack (then Janus).
