Over the spring of 2000, sixteen average Americans (divided into two tribes which eventually merge into one) were sequestered on the deserted island of Pulau Tiga for 39 days. For their stay, they must learn to live as a tribe, although eventually, it is everyone for themselves. They compete in challenges for "luxuries" (a barbecue, a phone call home, etc.) and immunity. Every three days, the losers of the latter challenges must face tribal council, where they will account for their actions by voting one person off of the island. At the end of day 39, there will be only one survivor left who will leave the island with one million dollars. Based on the Swedish game show, "Operation Robinson." Written by
Longtime composer Russ Landau was not approached to compose a new theme for the 28th installment of Survivor, "Survivor: Cagayan." Hence, the season re-used the theme originally composed for season 16 ("Survivor: Micronesia") and the opening credits are abridged and do not show the names of the contestants. See more »
First off- I am a HUGE Survivor Fan. I haven't missed one episode of ANY of the Survivor Episodes. My favorite edition has been Australlia, because I thought they picked great people and the location was interesting. The third one to me was the worst. Only a handfull of the contestants were actually interesting and the location seemed so..blah. But now with Survivor:Marquesas, I think this could definately be the best. The people are interesting and unlike Africa, I have no clue who will win. I predicted before the show started that Ethan would be the winner.
With Survivor:Marquesas, there are definately the ones to root for: Gina, Hunter, Pascal, Neleh and others who should just be voted out: Peter, Patricia, Kathy. All in all, this show rules.
