Quotes

Ash: Ah, so you're that crazy writer guy huh?
Abdul Alzeez: Warrior from the sky! I knew you'd come to save us.
Ash: Hold up a minute, I'm not here to free you, I'm just looking for a couple of friends.
Abdul Alzeez: But you must help me. A great evil is taking over the city and shall consume the entire earth if not stopped.
Ash: Hey hey, one thing at a time. First what's your deal, shmeal?
Abdul Alzeez: I am Abdul Alzeez, or at least once was, we had uncovered the ancient texts of the dark ones, deep within the earth. And I had been translating the ...

One of the worst games I've ever played
5 April 2013 | by (Co, Derry, Northern Ireland) – See all my reviews

My friend and I are huge Evil Dead fans and a few years ago, he bought the game and kept on pestering me to buy it. I said Okay and we went to this shop that doesn't exist anymore. I bought the game for £2. I took it home and I played it. I thought it was rubbish.

First of all, the plot were Ash decides to go back to the cabin. (wait a minute, remember everything got sucked into the porthole at the end of Evil Dead 2? How is the cabin still standing there?) Anyway, he goes back to the cabin to face his fears and sure enough, history has a way of repeating itself and Ash has to get rid of the demons all over again.

The controls are taken from Resident Evil and the graphics were terrible. The gameplay is unfair. The enemies kill you without giving you a chance to hit them.

It's just not fun at all. I hated it so much, I actually took this game to Work. I work at a builders yard and at the corner of the yard, we burn rubbish. I threw it into the fire. It was a delight to watch it melt in the fire. I said to myself "Ashes to Ashes." Which was the working title of this game.

My friend for a while loved this game like an idiot. But know he's come to his senses.

Bottom line, just because something is based on source material you like, doesn't mean it's any good.

Play "Regeneration" instead. At least it's fun.
