Not bad but I do prefer the Jetlag version of the low-budget Pocahontas animations
As I have said quite a few times already, I loved the low budget animations of Burbank(both Animation Studios and Films Australia), Jetlag and Golden Film. Re-visiting them gradually, some are not as good as I remembered them but they have enough good moments to satisfy. The Burbank Animation Studios version of Pocahontas is not bad, but I do prefer Jetlag's version, which as a child I watched more times. The animation is not that great in my opinion, with some of the colours flat and some of the character designs lacking finesse and the dialogue doesn't flow as naturally as some of Burbank's other output. However, the music is catchy, the characters are generally just as likable as Jetlag's and not too cardboard, the story is not as swiftly paced but just as moving and apart from Pocahontas being slightly too passive at first the voice acting is solid. Overall, not bad but I am more attached to Jetlag's. 7/10 Bethany Cox
