This Barney is not good. The tall girl is good, but the other kids can't sing. The set seems like a run-down high-school production. And what's the deal with slow songs? Kids don't want that. And the adults are geeks. I'm looking forward to when my 2 year-old triplets graduate to Pee Wee.

This is quite likely the BEST of the Barney videos - and one that is likely to become a cherished family favorite. Not just for the tiniest tots, but for any adult who still remembers the magic of preparing for Christmas...the joys of Christmas Eve...and the dream of meeting Santa in all his glory!
This video boasts higher production values than any other Barney production that springs to mind, and is filled end to end with favorite holiday songs and images. The humor and heartfelt sentiments are both sophisticated enough to entertain the whole family, even while keeping the smallest viewers satisfied.
Whatever you want in a Christmas video, it's here: Santa's magical workshop, decorating the Christmas tree, carolers in the snow, the Nutcracker Suite...it goes on and on. And all with the loving, laughing and positive values that have made this series such a favorite of children AND parents!

Hannah and her friends take a trip up to the North pole to see Santa. Hannah has a really good voice and the other kids are good although they do not have the same quality of voice that Hannah does. The dinos are funny and although, I suspect that BJ's voice was breaking or that he was played by a short adult with a low-ish voice, he did a good job with his vocals.
Hannah's parents do not ever see Barney although, the carollers seem to but the parents accept Barney as a part of their lives, even to making cookies.
My youngest still loves Barney and he is now 8. I had to send to the States for this movie as it is not available in the UK. I love it too.

Great Christmas video

This is one of the more tolerable Barney videos. After watching them all (or it seems that way), there are a select few that I, as an adult, can stand to sit through. This one has a fun Santa and the other adults are well cast, too. The kids are pretty par, what you'd expect from a Barney show. The sets are appropriate for the target age range; my 3 year old loves it. The songs are appropriate for the Christmas season...it IS a Christmas movie.
All in all, one of the better Barney movies. Just remember, it IS a Barney movie. Go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed.
