To Heart is based on a Japanese console 'dating simulation game', not unlike the Sentimental Journey series, so it's not a typical anime. While missing action, profanity, chauvinism, violence, blasphemy, sex and nudity - this series is not entirely boring. True the primary two member cast Akari and Hiroyuki, do meet a different girl in every episode and they help each one out as best they can. The situations are also rather idealised with the characters almost never becoming angry at each other. Each episode leaves you with a good feeling inside and even though some episodes may be just a little too sweet (but who said that is bad?), the series overall is a better than average anime series, mainly because of the feel good factor and the absence of all the negative things I listed above.
