In the year 3000 a special task force is being assembled. Cadets will be trained and then a group selected to travel back to the year 2000 with their captain and prevent powerful criminals from their own time from taking over the world.
When a break-out in prison occurs, the captain chooses four cadets at random and takes them with him, but as the Time Ship hurtles towards the Gate, the prison tower appears in front of them. The captain shoots the navigation robot to prevent it from aborting the jump, and the ship hurtles into the past with the prison tower.
