The D-X Band's screeching renditions of "America the Beautiful" and the American National Anthem were met with a resounding chorus of boos from the crowd in attendance, and the performances were considered disrespectful by fans and even the national media. Lead singer Chris Warren later admitted that he was instructed to perform the songs that way by the WWE, as a means to generate further heat for the D-Generation X stable. Their performance was never included on home video releases of the event.
