Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

6/10

A woman takes off her bra. The shot is very brief.

A scene where Asami takes off her clothes, and it is implied they have sex, but no nudity is shown.

There is another scene where Asami attempts to fellate the protagonist. Nothing is shown

An old man masturbates.

Violence & Gore

9/10

The film is widely known for the end scene where Asami paralyzes Shigerharu, sticks needles underneath his eyes, and cuts off his foot using piano wire. She begins to cut off his other foot but is stopped.

A man's head is sliced off as well, also with piano wire.

We hear about a murder in which the victim was sliced up. It is also revealed that, at the crime scene, an additional foot, three fingers, and tongue were found.

A young woman is heard gagging in the background and we see that she has filled a dog dish with vomit. She places it in front of a man whom fits the description of the above mentioned missing body parts; the man sticks his face into the bowl, lapping it up like a dog.

Profanity

2/10

One use of "bitch".

1/10

A few brief scenes of a person consuming alcohol and some smoking.

10/10

Many disturbing scenes during a hallucination scene, with things such as the digestion of human vomit, and moving human tongues. The final torture scene is extremely intense.

28/50 - Recommended for 18+ due to the overall intense tone and incredibly graphic scenes.
