DeAGostini channel Super! in Italy and pubcaster Yle in Finland are the latest buyers on pre-school series “The Ollie & Moon Show,” a Cottonwood Media production distributed by Federation Kids & Family.

The deals add to the show’s global reach of over 150 territories already licensed. Previous key sales include to France Télévisions in France, NBC Sprout in the U.S., Tvo and Knowledge in Canada, Discovery in Latin America, D-Kids in Middle East and North Africa, Vrt in Belgium and Ietv in Israel.

The “reimagining” was first announced by Netflix in 2014, and conceived then as 26 episodes made using CG instead of traditional animation. “Magic School Bus” was just one of several Scholastic Books titles optioned by Netflix at the time, including “Clifford the Big Red Dog” and “Goosebumps.”

As with many a Netflix revival, “Magic School Bus” resides in the sweet spot of nostalgia-evoking series and children’s programming. Shows like “Fuller House” and the “Gilmore Girls” revival, along with originals like “Stranger Things,” have »
