Interesting approach to a movie that keeps your attention to the end, 1 April 2005
Author: idonotexist from atl

I saw this as a joke and thought it was going to be one. In short, it was decent. While it is stereotyped in several ways that does not really hamper the overall enjoyment.

Three friends (supposedly two are hardcore L.A. gangsters) decide to embark on a cross country trip to DC and start over. Along with them they have a 3rd friend who is somewhat out of the street scene.

On the trip they meet a bunch of angry racist white folks and things just keep going downhill. They eventually get robbed so now are broke but keep on to DC.

The cinematography is mostly from up close with several drive by scenes. At times it feels like you are watching some type of documentary/autobiography as you go through the country across the mainland and into the towns where the events occur for the most part.

It is hard to describe this one without spoiling it because it is just so simple of a movie yet well enough made to keep you busy for 90 minutes.

One thing that stands out about it is the soundtrack which is really suiting.

I have to give it a 6.. With a slightly bigger budget to add some details it would have gotten a 7.

As far as the message goes it is not really clear. Like i said, the movie does stereotype the worst of everybody so as a viewer you are left to draw your own conclusions. However i highly doubt this was main reason behind. Simpley and fun entertainment is more like it. Oh and you get to see some small towns albeit not as hardcore as the ones in Deliverance..
