The Greek Amarcord, 22 February 2005

One beautiful film, something quite opposite to current Hollywood confection. In many moments it reminded me of yet another European masterpiece, Felini's Amarcord, only this one showing a much more positive historical period, the sixties. The story is intriguing and logical, with many fine details. I must say that I don't know almost anything about Greek cinematography, therefore I'm very much pleased with what I saw in this movie. The acting is brilliant (as it is in most European movies), so is the camera-work and other technical aspects. My recommendation to all true film lovers: a must see. Therefore, I give 9/10
