a tv show that can't decide what it wants to be, 26 March 2000
Author: LONE SOLO from Floyd Montana

Think of this show as a "gen-x" ADAM 12. One of the problems with this show is that they keep switching from video footage to footage shot on film to video footage where the chroma is too hot. This show can't decide what type of program it wants to be. The way the program was shot was so annoying, I couldn't keep watching it. The jerky camera on NYPD BLUE was always annoying but palatable....this show is almost unwatchable. They go for a ultra hip art house look and it just doesn't work. It would seem that this show is trying to recapture the style of MIAMI VICE without all the talent that made that show what it was. Sadly, this show doesn't fly and might die a quick death unless changes are made. The finished format of this show reminds me of NEW YORK UNDERCOVER.....another show that did not work.
