Storyline

The story centers around a man and a woman, whose fates are intertwined and will change forever. Nelson is an avid advertiser living in San Francisco. One day, during a driving test, he meets Sara, a beautiful but seemingly eccentric woman. But, she is falsely accused of cheating and ends up failing the test because of Nelson. After getting kicked out of the exam, Sara waits for him outside and starts to insult him. However, Nelson ignores her and takes off. Then, she traces him down and shows up at his place. She promises to leave him alone only if he gives her a ride. Later that night, she asks him to live with her throughout November on the promise that his life will change for the better. He turns her down saying that he has a girlfriend. On the first day of November, after being fired and dumped on the very same day, Nelson decides to give it a try and then somehow, agrees to spend the whole month with Sara and finds himself in a desperate love affair that he will remember for ... Trivia

Apparently, to prepare himself for the cross-dressing scene, Jason Isaacs wandered the drag clubs, picking up on behavior of people there. He wanted to bring Keanu Reeves along, but it would be hard to go undercover with the star of the newly-released The Matrix (1999), so he went alone. See more »

Goofs

Sara is apparently a vegan; however, the first morning she fixes breakfast for Nelson and herself, she cracks and begins cooking several eggs from a carton. See more »

Quotes

Sara: You live in a box. I could lift the lid, let some light in.
Nelson Moss: Wow, that's deep! I feel almost cured just hearing it.

Some people just don't get it...
3 July 2004 | by See all my reviews

I just saw this movie on line. I wanted more information and came across this site. I then read the review about how bad this movie is... What a load of crap.. This is not just a movie. This is a story about life and relationships. There is a saying that goes. "The meaning of life, is to give life meaning." I think that is the message of this movie. Too many times people get wrapped up in stuff and glitz and all technology and everything else we have in this life that we forget that in the end... all we have is each other.

The comments that the acting was not the best is crap too... it is harder to play the rolls these two actors portrayed than to play a bus-drivin super cop.

GREAT MOVIE... SEE IT FIRST CHANCE YOU CAN...
