Un Nuevo Amanecer is a typical Mexican novela except for the fact that the protagonists are older actors with experience. It explores the events in an older woman's life after her strict mother passes away. It also explores the subject of adultery and how the children of the divorced parents deal with it. It would not be a novela if there was no romance between a poor person and a rich person. It's a pretty good story ... if you like novelas. For those who like Salma Hayek they'll get to see her in this novela. Salma Hayek comes out in this novela in a supporting role. Many people in the United States are under the belief that she was very popular in Mexico before she came to the United States; however, that assumption is incorrect. She was not the "in thing" in Mexico until she became popular in the U.S. If this novela ever comes out again, watch it ... or not, whatever you please.
