Remember that new Creed album that the reunited rock band planned to put out last year? It turns out that you’re not the only one that’s curious about what happened. So is Creed’s lead singer, Scott Stapp. Liane Bonin Starr and I interviewed Stapp on Thursday (24) about his new solo album, “Proof Of Life,” out Nov. 5 for our podcast, CulturePop. Whether or not you loved post-grunge supergroup Creed and the ever-present hit "With Arms Wide Open," you need to listen to lead singer Scott Stapp talk about the song reaching the "burn-out phase." But in the last decade, Ryan has all but disappeared from the screen, doing only small, supporting roles here and there. Why did one of the most sought-after actresses in Hollywood disappear?
According to the latest issue of People, it's not because Ryan wasn't getting offers. Rather, she's chosen to focus on her family -- 8-year-old daughter Daisy and rocker boyfriend John Mellencamp. Ryan, now 51, literally disappeared from Hollywood by moving to New York.

While promoting "Man of Steel," Henry Cavill and Russell Crowe spoke about their first meeting, which took place about fifteen years ago, when Cavill was only 15 years old. That meeting gave the actor enough motivation to ultimately get him to this point. "When I was in boarding school, [Russell] filmed a scene from his movie 'Proof of Life,'" said Cavill. "[I was an extra in] the background. And at one stage, [all the extras] were standing there in a big semi-circle, between set-ups, just staring at [Russell]. And I thought, 'We look really weird. Why are we staring at this man?' I want to be an actor, so why don't I got up and talk to him, ask him for some advice. I said, 'Hi, my name is Henry. I'm thinking of becoming an actor, do you have any advice, tips, what's it like?' And he said, 'it's good, pay is good, but sometimes they don't treat you so good. »

But, an interesting new story has arisen and it will now be remembered as the movie where Crowe first met Henry Cavill and helped send him on his way to becoming the Man Of Steel. This video from Access Hollywood has Cavill and »

Henry Cavill's career is about to explode, as he takes on the role of Superman in June's "Man of Steel." The British actor talked to Details magazine about all kinds of topics related to the movie, and even opened up about his childhood and another surprising role he was once up for.
As a kid, Cavill struggled with his weight. "I was fat," he says, "I was Fat Cavill." While being the fat kid at boarding school didn't do wonders for Cavill's self-esteem, he was able to take that experience to work out the character of Superman. "My version of Superman is essentially of a guy who has spent his whole life alone."
