Parents Guide for
Ghosts of Mars (2001) More at IMDbPro »

The content of this page was created directly by users and has not been screened or verified by IMDb staff.
Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that, instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, you use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.

Sex & Nudity

There's a good many instances; talk, cleavage, caressing, kissing, breeders, but none of it heavy and really long.

There are NO scenes in this movie depicting sex or nudity.

Violence & Gore

There's a lot of slashing and a dozen or so cut off body parts. Besides a man slashing his throat, a lady coughing up a huge red cloud, and one slaughter scene that goes on for 1-2 minutes, most of the other heavy gory violence is quick and brief flashes. One gory instance is where a man gets his head, both legs, and one hand cut off at the same time, with blood spraying everywhere. There's a bunch of typical other action violence.

Nearly 30 F-words, 15 S-words, a sexual reference, 2 derogatory references to homosexuality, and nearly +20 other mild phrases (5 of which are religious).

There's a few scenes of drugs and getting high:

A cop takes some pill and we see her go into a wild episode (hallucinating oceans and stuff). She is later given another dose to fight ghosts.

A person after having a serious hand injury gets high off some aerosol spray (Statham says its so powerful it'll turn your brain into Swiss Cheese).

A lady appears to be high on something.

the villains can be scary to viewers. The killing is intense.
