Amparo Grisales as "LA VIRGEN"!!! ...Talk about MISCASTING!!!
Tony-Kiss-Castillo13 December 2021
Unless You are a HU-U-U-U-U-U-U-UGE Amparo Grisales fan... There really doesn´t seem, to me at least, any plausible reason to waste an hour and a half of Your life squirming through this barely mediocre GRISALES vehicle!

Granted...She is a decent actress... And in LA VIRGEN... At 26 years-old... Certainly provides viewers with some classic and outstanding "Eye Candy!"... But it just isn´t enough to make up for this film´s numerous shortcomings!

So... This reality makes it REALLY EASY for me as a REVIEWER! If You were a true AMPARO GRISALES fan, some years back,...OK.... You might find this film at least.... "ACCEPTABLE!" If not.... PLEASE! Just forget about this lackluster 1982 COLOMBIAN Production!

Holy lust

Ways and forms of Valle del Cauca (Colombia) under the eye of camera. A fresh description of a town with its typical inhabitants, who in a choral way surround the story of a sacrilege committed with a sacred image of the Virgin.

Franky Linero has the seductive power, he is the perfect role for that liberal and promiscuous photographer who helps to solve the mystery of holy outrage. The rest of the characters are garnishes without much notoriety, which give the town a picturesque air.

An entertaining film for a Sunday, which moves between humor, some criticism and Valluno folklore, but which does not fully capture because its story is not powerful and its choral style is not homogeneous and creates distraction, without a defined focus.
