2 Stars out of 10.
Where do I begin with what was wrong with this film. Well, I will say this, it had a good idea but then it took several wrong turns.
The film is quite murky as to who everyone is and why they're there and what their connection is to the other characters in quite a few scenes throughout the picture. It also tends to kind of jerk around a bit from scene to scene, one group of characters to another - especially at the beginning of the film.
We never get any depth on any of the characters as to their backgrounds. It just remains very surface.
While the women are not anything hot, the men in this film are all made up to look so dirty and grubby that I could only gasp in wonderment and reach for the old barf bag when a couple of the women express romantic/sexual interest in them.
There's a lesbian in the film, but she's like a character from a pulp novel written by a clueless author in the 1950's - you just KNOW she's going to be obsessive, unstable and come to a bad end.
The storyline which starts good, turns into pure nonsense as we near the finish, with the women's decisions so stupid I just wanted to scream.
Definitely begs for a re-make with a really good writer who would give us some in-depth characters and some ruthless, but logical decision making on the part of these characters, especially the women.
