Plot Summary

Activity in Montréal in the days before Christmas is shown. Department stores are bustling with shoppers in search of the perfect Christmas presents, the toy department and the lineup to see Santa especially busy. Another retail sector especially busy is grocery, as home cooks are shopping for their Christmas meals, a special focus on the butcher section for the turkey centerpiece. By association, armored car services and banks deal with more money as those store revenues have to make their way safely to the proper bank accounts. Music is an important aspect of Christmas, with two choirs in rehearsal and two children's concerts performed in front of appreciative parents shown. With Montréal being a party town, many revelers will use the holiday as as excuse regardless of if that revelry is directly associated to Christmas. Ultimately for those who do celebrate Christmas, it is a time to be with loved ones, and as such it is one of the busiest times of the year for travel. And for those who cannot make it home, they have to resort to the next best thing of a telephone call. Written by Huggo
