Trivia

This series was spun off of the original concept for Sonic the Hedgehog (1993) during pre-production. Bruce Shelly and Reed Shelly were involved with Len Janson in the early development of the ABC series, which originally had a more humorous tone (as seen in concept artwork featured in Fleetway's "Sonic the Comic"). The project diverged into two series early on, with Len Janson ultimately taking the ABC series in a more serious direction. See more »

Crazy Credits

During the credits, we see a Wile E. Coyote-like segment where Dr. Robotnik is setting a trap where a large mechanical press is supposed to smash Sonic. But when Robotnik pushes the remote control button, the trap doesn't do anything. He walks under the press to see what happened, and Sonic takes the controller, presses the button and smashes Robotnik. The press rises, and Sonic tosses the remote control under the press before running off. A flattened Robotnik gently falls from the press onto the controller and ends up smashed again. See more »

Very Good Series
7 February 2003 | by (Queens, NY) – See all my reviews

This is a very good series. The show deserved more than one season. It was funny, and kept you laughing the whole 30 minutes. The show really deserves 4 stars, and a chance at airing on TV again. Live On Sonic!! Live On!
