He's got more opening lines than Henny Youngman. He's as hopelessly persistent as Disco. He's struck out more times than the Cubs. He's Leisure Suit Larry, the winningest loser in computer game history, maybe in the history of the world. And he's back in the sixth installment of Al Lowe's singles scene set-up, an epic saga of absurdity, ingenuity, and raw, unbridled rejection. As a consolation prize for his humiliating performance on a TV dating show, Larry wins two weeks at the fabulous La Costa Lotta Spa (first prize - one week!). Surrounded by nine smart, savvy, beautiful women, Larry will surely meet Ms. Right. Right? Wrong! Help Larry overcome all the odds and experience True Love. Save him from dozens of hilariously hopeless encounters. We don't care how you do it, but whatever you do, deliver this male! It's prime Leisure Suit Larry, the most laughable loveless loser to ever grace the small screen. Written by Anonymous

Did You Know?

Art the tram driver looks like Al Lowe, so many fans believed it is an inside-joke about him. In fact, it was never Al's idea to appear as a character in the game. When one of the animators suddenly showed a character really resembling Al in-game, Al returned the joke by calling the character Art, after his close friend and programming mentor Art Serabian, who also sported a bald head and a big beard. In the men's shower room, sometimes there are one or two naked men whose backs are turned to Larry. Clicking the zipper icon on the left man gives the message "You're going to have to wait until you're playing the role of Passionate Patti to do that!" - although Patti does not appear in this game. [at the swimming pool, Larry talks with Kenny - the annoying fellow who is a parody on Ken Williams]
Leisure Suit Larry: So, how do you order a drink here, stranger?
Kenny: Slap your tail! But, more importantly, have you heard the one about...
Leisure Suit Larry: Oh, no! It's you again! I remember you from Lefty's bar in "The Land of the Lounge Lizards"!
[as he did in the first game, Kenny tells Larry a foolish joke]
Kenny: Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!

Larry really enters the nineties!
26 November 1999 | by See all my reviews

Leisure Suit Larry (by far the most scandalous and hilarious character in any computer game) returns for his fifth game (Larry 4 never was)whereas Larry 5 was boring, unfunny and easy,Larry 6 is set in a health farm and takes the mick out of the early nineties obsession with fashion and keeping thin-at whatever cost. While the gay stereotype is a little hard to digest the sly swipes and the downright cheeky puns make this game a riot.It also contains some fantastic voice acting (the first Larry game to do so)including Jay Rabson (who brings life to even the weakest jokes) and the late great Mary Kay Bergman (who does a recognizable Kyle's mom at one point)
